The Ladies Boudoir

The Ladies Boudoir

When I first thought about creating a ladies bedroom, I wasn't quite sure which style to choose. I didn't have anything that I could use, alter etc so I had to create this one from scratch and I'm a lover of all things Chic and so the Boudoir was born... I sold it, and it was one of those projects where you don't really want to sell it after its completion, but I have no room for any miniatures :0(

I first built all the furniture, creating the dogs bed too! I make many of my miniatures from 2-4mm foam board and same with the chipboard that I also use for shelving units etc.

I used glass pearls for the balls, and the bones were taken from an old Halloween necklace, perfect for the job.

The flowers on the left at the front were cut from sprays that I sell in our online store. The bucket they're in is made from a thimble. I created the tissue box from card and used real tissues. The head board was created from a name plate, padded and pushed through to look like a Victorian headboard.

The whole fireplace was created from foam board

I used lots of lovely goodies that I could find or make like the Cameo plaque, vase of flowers and lace for the folded bloomers

The screen was also made from chipboard and the negligee was lace made to look like a it was a real garment though its not, its just folded lace with straps made from cording

I used beautiful Satin fabric/Laces for the bedding etc, we sell this too.

The rug was made from patterned craft card edged with a Chinese braid

The picture below also shows you another bedroom set that I created

And on my Youtube channel jennings644, I share how to make individual items like this padded headboard, they're not as hard as they look, nothing is, once you know how its done!
