The Garden Shop
I've created many gardens but never a Garden Shop until I did this one and I really enjoyed filling it with everything I could think of that an ordinary Garden shop/centre would have. Again, it was made from scratch... I built all the units, the wall hangings, the desk and the corner 3 tiered flower holder.
I fill it up with lots of watering cans, flowers, spades etc
The units were created from foam board and the wrapping paper rack from skewers. The hanging basket was made from string, I made the 3 baskets then hung them with chain and they looked fabulous. The fire wood was created from matchstick chippings and the little ribbon holder, which I loved creating was made from chipboard and mini spools.
The 3 tiered planter was made from hot glue that I poured over clingfilm and a round lid, once set, I cut it to shape and then used a long skewers to poke through all three, topping it off with a wooden bead at the top. The bags of soil leaning up against the wall are blocks of wood painted and then glued pictures on the front of them. The sweeping brush I made using Balsa wood and fur.
The wishing well was handmade, the window boxes hung on the wall were handmade
Some of the garden tools were also handmade, from card and skewers mainly
There is a doorway leading from the main shop to the garden area, but these can be separated
The pots were made from clay and I used moss and plastic flowers
The Witches Brush was made from a skewer and dried straw. I added the moss to the bird bath to make it more realistic.
All the flowers had to be made into plants etc
I also altered this tree, but as you can see below, I also make my own from scratch
To do this, I used melted acrylic in a special pen to draw the tree and build on it until I had full branches etc, then covered them with moss after painting the whole tree brown
The pencils were made from skewers and the dish from string
The rug was created from wool, I crocheted a certain amount and then rolled it around into an oval and glued it to a piece of card
In all, I think it turned out great. They are time consuming but there is so much to enjoy afterwards
This unit was made from foam board and wooden skewers
The base was created from a bottle cap and I wound cording around it and hey presto, a plant pot
Thought I'd show you another tree I made lol
Broomsticks and brushes are easy to do and all of these can be seen on my Youtube channel - jennings644
These buckets were made from card stock and suede fabric. The bowls from string!
Not a very clear picture but I will swap it eventually with a nicer one, but the wooden looking bird feed was made from thick card and the and the slim bird feeder was made from a straw and bead caps
Things are easier than they look, you just have to know how, but once you start, you'll NEVER LOOK AT ANYTHING IN THE SAME WAY AGAIN lol.
